Team Effort makes for well run State CDE Championships

The Victorian CDE Championships were held at Greenvale over the weekend of April 27 & 28.  This year all Victorian competitors were asked to contribute to the running of the event as the event was being held by the State Branch not a single club.   Competitors did not disappoint and it was wonderful to see everyone attend to their allocated jobs and get things set up and pulled down and carry out all manner of other jobs. Although not required to help out, the NSW competitors also pitched in to help which was very generous of spirit.

Junior Driver trophy was awarded to the ever popular Matilda Bannon, driving Molly.  Winner of the coveted Alan Farmer award was won by Rachel Haslau, driving Haslock Park Locket.   Rachel also won the best marathon by an Open/Intermediate pony.   Best Novice Dressage went to Vicki Stevenson driving Naringalook Squirt. Best Novice marathon was won by Mandy Lawrence driving Watermark Joe Joe.  Club teams winner was Longwood with team members, Mandy Lawrence, Rachel Haslau and David Cockroft.   State Teams winner was Victoria 3 which was Wayne Armstrong, Rodney Lane and Jenny Begg.
